Verve delivers simplified access to great value commercial furniture across Canada. This role supports our sales team by turning floor plans and client requirements into accurate test-fit layouts, furniture specifications, proposals, and quotes — drawing on Verve's product line and brand partner offerings. You'll act as the link between sales and product, helping close deals with clean, accurate scope and pricing.
— Create test-fit furniture plans and space layouts based on client floor plans, program requirements, and brand standards.
— Specify furniture from Verve's product line and brand partner offerings to meet client needs, budget, and timeline.
— Prepare furniture proposals and quotes for the sales team to present to prospects and clients.
— Work closely with the sales team to understand project scope, budget, and client priorities.
— Review RFPs and project requirements to translate them into workable furniture scope and pricing.
— Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Verve's product catalogue and brand partner lines, finishes, and price lists.
— Keep specifications and quotes accurate, consistent, and ready for order processing with minimal rework.
— Collaborate with the Director of Product on product selection questions and process improvements.
— Support revisions to plans, specs, and quotes as projects evolve through the sales cycle.
— 3-5 years' experience in commercial furniture specification, space planning, or a related design role.
— Proficiency with AutoCAD and CET Designer for space planning, test fits, and specification.
— Solid understanding of commercial furniture products, finishes, and how to build accurate quotes.
— High attention to detail — comfortable owning specs and pricing others will rely on.
— Clear written and verbal communicator, comfortable working independently in a remote role.
— Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
— Experience with dealer or brand-partner product lines is an asset.
— A home office setup suited to remote design work.
